I made some health resolutions for 2023, such as having a weight under 75 kg at the end of January 2023 and under 70 kg at the end of the year. To achieve this, I am doing several processes in parallel, including:
- Continuing the David’s fast (intermittent or alternate-day fasting)
- Increasing intermittent fasting by creating a “meal window” when not fasting, for example, an eating window between 12 noon and 8 pm; the rest is fasting except for drinking water.
- Regular exercise every day. When fasting, I usually exercise before sunrise or before breaking the fast. When not fasting, I can choose a time to exercise freely, but usually in the morning after the Shubuh (morning prayer)
The exercise I do is still simple, which is 30 minutes on the treadmill (28 minutes of walking, 2 minutes of running), followed by sit-ups and closed with an abs workout following the guidelines in the application.
So far, the process is running smoothly, and the benefits are very noticeable both at work and at rest. I usually sleep at 10 pm and wake up at 3.30 am before Shubuh. It is a comfortable sleep and I don’t feel tired or sleepy even though I work all day.
In terms of the body, the waist seems to be shrinking. I have not measured it again, but the weight seems to be stable at around 76 kg. Although there is still a struggle to get optimal conditions, I consider the process to be on the right track that I want.
